You can choose from University of Southampton's wide range of undergraduate degrees that are academically rigorous, informed by the latest research and taught by world-leading academics who advise governments and international organisations and consult on leading cases. The university's LLB programmes provide diverse core and optional modules, with a range of module choice across all areas of study.

LLB LAW

You will develop your analytical and problemsolving skills in a challenging and inspiring law programme that will give you in-depth legal knowledge, strong critical thinking and communication skills. You will benefit from expert tutors, research-led curriculum and links to industry, and can consolidate your learning through exceptional work experience and networking opportunities in the employability skills programmes.

LLB LAW ACCELERATED

If you want a career in the legal profession but studied another subject for your first degree, the accelerated LLB is the ideal choice for you. You can fast track your learning, fitting the modules needed to complete a qualifying law degree into just two years of study. When you graduate, you’ll be ready to train to become a solicitor or barrister.

LLB LAW ACCELERATED (JD)

If you are keen to join the legal profession in Canada, then our two-year programme is designed for you. In particular, the dedicated Constitutional Law of Canada module provides excellent preparation for the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) exam on constitutional law.

LLB EUROPEAN LEGAL STUDIES

You will broaden your horizons and boost your employability on this four-year programme that gives you a rigorous legal education as well as the opportunity to study law in another European country. Having mastered the qualifying law degree subjects in your first two years, you’ll spend your third year studying at one of Southampton's partner institutions in a European country. Most destinations offer modules taught in English. For others you can spend two years studying the language before you go.

LLB INTERNATIONAL LEGAL STUDIES

You will be challenged and inspired as a future legal professional with this comprehensive international law degree that combines in-depth knowledge of law with your third year spent abroad at one of the global partner institutions. This programme reflects Southampton Law School’s own international standing, and the diversity of jurisdictions in
which you can pursue your legal career as a graduate of English law. Most destinations offer modules taught in English. For others you can spend two years studying the language before you go.

LLB LAW WITH PSYCHOLOGY

Gain a comprehensive legal education while deepening your understanding of the human mind. It is one of just a handful of programmes in the UK to combine a qualifying law degree with the study of psychology. You will develop the skills and knowledge that will be invaluable for a career in the legal profession and in a wide range of other career paths.
